  Basic, old school family diner cranking out local favorites at fair prices.  We visited two days in a row for breakfast and both the service and food were great.
  
  Despite one low score review from Jason L. (if you look at his total of 3 lifetime Yelp reviews, you'll see what I mean), the vast majority of Yelpers like this place.   I will say that the place needs to be refreshed.  However, it's jammed with small town charm.  
  
  Our food was plentiful and delicious.  The frittata is enormous and a real belly buster.  Huge, in fact.  Get it!  I say give this place a whirl and kick Jason L to the curb.

  First I'd never recommend this restaurant to anybody. The staff was very unfriendly, arguing amongst each other along with cursing. Not very family friendly if you have young children.
    Second I am so surprised that the health board has not shut this place down due to it filthy atmosphere and waitress station. E.G. wait staff not using scoop to fill ice into cups, paper towels on the floor due to either a spill or leaking ice machine, loose tiles on the floor that I witness being tripped over several times, broken and dirty radiator vent attached to the wall, food on the ceiling in wait station. Of course I snapped pictures of all these things.
    Third and final straw on reason I'll never return or recommend this place is that after several food mistakes and waitress pointed out that (that's not what you said). I promptly told her that I was missing my toast and she snapped and said I received it, I calmly explained I ordered sour dough toast then apologized, she brings my toast, I talk a bite and see mold on my bread. She said I'm sorry can I get you some more! Now why would I want more moldy toast i ask. She brings bill and says i took off the price of the toast and some other items. I said good, I was not going to pay for moldy food in the 1st place.
    I'll never return again, but thank you for asking me to come back. NOPE sorry Goshen Family Restaurant

  I like the food there，nice vegetable and rice bowl，we are sure we will visit there sometime again

  WORST service ever! Hardly anyone in restaurant & sat for 25 minutes & never got our food even though another couple came in & got their food immediately! Server claimed a big party came in & got their order in before us! VERY doubtful since other couple got waited on & served AFTER we'd been sitting there for 20 minutes!

  I went to the Resturaunt at about 4pm on Monday April 2, 2018. I took a seat there was two other tables but no waitress to be found. I got my own menu because no one was there to offer one. While looking over the menu one party got up to leave but again no one to check him out. He stood looking down hallway into probably the kitchen but no one came. He left money at register and left. The other party they got up twice once to get a cup of ice for themselves the second time to get what appeared to be coffee. I decided after 10 minutes that I was not going to wait any longer. After leaving I called the Resturaunt to tell them about my displeasure. The girl that answered the phone hung up on me when I called back and asked for the manager she hung up on me again. When I called back it went to an answering machine that can't accept any messages. If this is the owner you don't deserve to have a business. If this was not the owner she should be fired. Avoid this place like the plague. I'm going to leave my number but I am pretty sure they will be to scared to call because this is how they treat customers. (574) 265-9263. There are many many other good places to eat in Goshen I would give them my business.
